Concrete Resurfacing Specialists for Old Damaged Concrete Surfaces
Concrete resurfacing or concrete repaving is a technique for restoring the appearance of damaged or out dated concretes. Over the old surface, a concrete coating is applied, which comes in a range of colours, textures, and patterns. Old concrete driveways, patios, concrete swimming pools, concrete footpaths, and even indoor concrete floors can all benefit from this form of decorative refinishing.
How long does concrete resurfacing last?
We use an excellent quality resurfacing product upon installation, so you can expect it to last for many years. Regular cleaning and resealing is required to ensure its longevity.
You can get whatever look you want when resurfacing concrete. Here are a few common alternatives:
Broom finish applications
Integral or topically applied colour
Stamped concrete overlays
River rock or pebble coating
Cool deck finishes
Metallic pigments
Spray down texture coatings
Stencilled patterns
Concrete Resurfacing Preparations
Thorough cleaning is required before resurfacing. All dirt, oil and grease should be removed because it could affect the ability of the overlay to bond.
All coatings, sealers, or paints that have been applied to the concrete must also be removed.
Taking any unsound concrete down to solid concrete, such as slight spalling, scaling, or delamination.
Filling active cracks to prevent them from refracting through the overlay. Any crack whether it is large or small needs to be repaired.
To increase the “grip” of the overlay, the concrete surface needs to be profiled, or roughened.
